I’m Daniel Madsen, and I’ve been a professional photographer since 1993, over 32 years of capturing stories, moments, and memories through the lens.
My career began in Lake Arrowhead, California, where I worked as a photojournalist for two local newspapers. For three years, I covered everything from sports and lifestyle to breaking news and community events. That fast-paced environment taught me how to anticipate and capture real, authentic moments, a skill I carry with me to every session today.
For over a decade, I served as Director of Creative Print Services at Sony Pictures Entertainment. In that role, I worked on over 200 films, specializing in compositing and retouching. I also had the opportunity to photograph movie posters and editorial images for magazines, experiences that deepened my understanding of visual storytelling and artistic detail.
While I’ve photographed countless weddings and events over the years, my true passion lies in portraiture, capturing the essence of individuals and families through timeless, expressive images. Whether it’s a headshot, a family portrait, or a special milestone, I bring a meticulous eye and genuine care to every session.
